OUR STORY

Chef Lynden Zuniga grew up in Honduras, Central America and Worked in kitchens through high school to pay rent. He quickly came to realize making people happy with his food was his lifelong passion. Shortly after marrying his wife sally, they started to dream of their concept which is now Tio’s Latin American Kitchen!

We focus on fresh. We focus on value. We focus on family. Just like our marriage, our friends and our beloved island, Tío’s is a fusion – of Latin food. When Latinos get together to celebrate, we are often surrounded by people from Mexico, central and South America and Spain. Our menu emulates that of our extended family and friends. Chef Lynden soon partnered with Chef Logan McManus to continue to grow and evolve our restaurant and brand.

We’ve brought our favorite dishes from several different Latino Countries onto one menu – making it all from scratch and fresh Daily, including our handmade corn tortillas. Because we know You can’t have a Latino party without the best drinks around, we’ve partnered with Kfir Gispan and Manuel Guzmán who will offer a fun and sophisticated bar with an extensive tequila
And rum selection.

Our tables are from our friends, our picnic blankets for the park are handmade from a family friend in Mexico, our Tíos on the walls are all people who we love dearly. The lowcountry is our family and we hope you enjoy a piece of our dream and what we consider the modern fusion of Latin cuisine.
